The Walk-In Ministry of Hope is open from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. Monday through Friday, and from 6:30 - 8:15 p.m. Monday evening. It is located at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Downers Grove, across from the public library, about 1/4 mile from the Downers Grove Main Street Metra station.

Arriving by Bus

Pace Route #834, which runs between Joliet and Yorktown Mall, stops at the Downers Grove Main Street train station. From the station, walk south to Curtiss Ave., the second light past the tracks. Turn right on Curtiss. The First Congregational Church will be on your left.

Arriving by Metra

Metra trains from Chicago Union Station and from Aurora stop at the Downers Grove Main Street station. From the station, walk south to Curtiss Ave., the second light past the tracks. Turn right on Curtiss. The First Congregational Church will be on your left.

Driving Directions

From Ogden Avenue: Turn south on Main Street in Downers Grove. Turn right on Burlington Avenue, the stoplight immediately past the railroad tracks. Turn left on Forest. The First Congregational Church is at the corner of Forest and Curtiss; to enter the parking lot, turn left on Curtiss, then right into the parking lot.

From 75th Street: Turn north on Lemont Road, which will turn into Main Street. Continue on Main Street to Maple Avenue. Turn left on Maple. Turn right on Carpenter, the next intersection. Turn right on Curtiss. The entrance to the First Congregational Church parking lot will be on the right after the stop sign.
